No contest for the Chicago participant whose name makes it most difficult to fulfil expectation -- James Thurber of the American University.

Not a bloodhound or a picaresque anecdote of Ohio childhood in sight in either of his contributions on congressional politics. Too bad the splendidly Hemingway-esque C. O. Jones of the University of Wisconsin was merely a prize recipient rather than a paper-giver.
