Poetic justice

(Photograph) - Poetic justice: Christopher Hogg picked up this slim volume of T. S. Eliot's Prufrock and Other Observations for Pounds 1.50 in a Bournemouth bookshop.

It turned out to be an excellent investment the 1917 first edition is expected to fetch more than Pounds 1,000 when it is auctioned at Christies next Friday. An aspiring poet, Mr Hogg intends to use the proceeds of the sale to finance his return to King's College London to complete an English literature degree he had to abandoned earlier this year because of financial difficulties.
