Latest news on the photographic career of Ted Nield, ex CVCP PR person and now at the Geological Society of London. Having put his holiday snaps on the GS magazine Geoscientist twice in a row, he has now trumped himself by getting another picture on the cover of the December issue and using it on the society's Christmas card. The caption claims that the picture, taken in the French Alps, features something called a "thrust sheet" and a lot of "basement," although at Pounds 3.50 for ten, it seems the earth scientists can not be too choosy.
