University Sains Malaysia has rejected a student council claim that 80 per cent of students are against mixed-race roomin. Officials said it was "absurd" to speak for 14,000 students on the basis of 400 interviews. The council says that an official integration policy has caused unnecessary stress instead of forging closer ties among students.
