Plans for a £1 billion science centre in North Yorkshire have taken a step forward. The White Rose University Consortium, which includes Leeds, Sheffield and York universities and the regional development agency Yorkshire Forward, will submit a planning application for what would be the world's largest neutron-scattering facility.
