Oxford Journals present results of open access experiments

April 25, 2006

Brussels, 24 Apr 2006

Oxford Journals will hold a conference in London on 5 June to present the results of its open access experiments.

The event will present information on the uptake of the open access option for the 48 journals published by Oxford Journals, as well as information on a journal that has practised full open access since 2005. Speakers will compare usage and citation patters.

Participants will also report on whether the 'author pays' model of open access leads to more 'hits' and reaches the kinds of people that the model aspires to reach.'
