Out-of-doors activity

I am deeply disappointed by Laurie Taylor. When identifying cliches at examiners' meetings, he completely omitted the old stand-by "exit velocity" (THES, June 23).

No exam board can be suitably arbitrary and subjective without a full debate on the relative exit velocity of candidates.
