Never let it be said that The THES has no influence. No sooner had we reported that the Nigerian university system was expected to close for the duration of this year's Junior World Cup than FIFA announced the competition was being moved elsewhere - on the basis of some thin excuse to do with players risking outbreaks of cholera and meningitis.
