Older staff win free university places

Strathclyde University's continuing education centre has offered university staff 150 free places on its learning in later life and extension programmes.

Staff winning places include Alan Chambers, a technician in the department of pharmaceutical sciences, who is studying German for beginners since the department now includes several native German speakers.
