Ofsted praise for a near-lost cause

Liverpool University has received a glowing quality report from schools' inspectorate Ofsted for the teacher training provision it plans to scrap next year. All aspects of quality at Liverpool's initial teacher training courses for English were given grades of either "good" or "very good".
