Where can you buy a Relativity Mouse Mat, a pair of sterling silver earring replicas of Oxford's Radcliffe Camera, and a "bundle" of J. R. R. Tolkien goodies, all at the push of a button? Only in a new "virtual" shopping arcade - the latest money-spinning venture from Oxford University's Bodleian Library.

The Bod has launched its mail-order gifts catalogue into cyberspace on the World-Wide Web, at the Universal Resource Locator http://www.bodley.ox.ac.uk/arcade/. Only 12 gifts are currently available, but readers of The THES are invited to suggest items they would be interested in purchasing. Virtual Oxford University professorships, perhaps?
