James Brown, a former soldier, has just graduated from St Andrews University with an honours degree in history - aged 71. "I came to St Andrews to study because I wanted to be part of a fraternity. I just love the company of young people; I might be 71 but in my head I'm 21," he said. His youthful outlook extends to music. The neighbours may well have been horrified to find a student living next door since he admits his favourite listening is Nightwish, a Finnish metal band.
