Homelessness is not confined to Britain's cities, a conference on tackling homelessness in rural areas heard yesterday.
The Grantham conference, organised by researchers from Bristol and Cardiff universities and sponsored by the Countryside Agency, heard that levels of homelessness have risen in rural areas in the 1990s while totals have fallen in London and other urban areas.
