No need for new entry standards, Millett says

Teacher Training Agency chief Anthea Millett rejected the recommendation of the House of Commons select committee on education that there should be a new minimum standard for entry to initial teacher training. At her annual lecture in London this week, she said that there should be targets to raise the average entry standard.
