An annual award of £10,000 for a project that aims to further the understanding and exploration of the planet’s cultures and environments, while promoting personal development through the intellectual or physical challenges involved in undertaking the research and/or expeditions. Projects can be desk or field based and can be carried out in the UK or overseas. Eligibility: UK nationals over the age of 25. Postgraduate research proposals will not be funded.
