Negotiating EU research contracts and managing projects - UK workshops

March 20, 2002

Brussels, 19 March 2002

Two workshops for EU R&D (research and development) project proposers and participants will be held in Cambridge, UK in April and June 2002.

'Negotiating and administering EU research contracts' will take place on 25 April. The workshop will provide an overview of the contract negotiation process and the subsequent administration of the contract. It aims to help project coordinators progress swiftly and effectively from the Commission's evaluation summary report and framework for negotiation to a signed contract, while providing a firm foundation for the efficient administration of the project.

'Managing EC research projects' will be held on 14 June. The workshop will explain how European Commission funded research projects work, how projects are managed and how good practices can be built in to support the successful delivery of results.
