A programme of scientific and technological cooperation between Nato countries and Russia has been developed. Three areas of particular concern to Russia will be the focus of activities under the new programme:
*Plasma physics;
*Plant biotechnology;
*Forecast and prevention of catastrophes: safety in natural and industrial aspects.
This programme gives scientists in Russia and the Nato countries the possibility of applying for support in the above areas for collaborative linkage grants and expert visits, or to organise advanced research workshops.
