Natfhe chooses Hayes

Dennis Hayes, head of the Centre for Professional Learning at Canterbury Christ Church University College, has been elected president of Natfhe, the UK's largest university and college lecturers' union. Dr Hayes will take up the post of vice-president in 2005-06 and will become president a year later, in what may well be the final year before the planned merger with the Association of University Teachers takes place.
