Never assume, however thoroughly you've tested it, that technology will work as it should - especially at the start of the academic year. During induction week, I scheduled a training session in a computer laboratory.
When I arrived, every computer was out of action - one of the programmers had seen the laboratory empty and taken the opportunity to install new software.
