Surely no one would try to cash in on student fears that decisions arising from the Dearing report will mean them borrowing more money? Perish the thought. Nevertheless, NatWest bank feels it is timely to offer students a few extra lessons in money management, with a specialist student banking service. It also wants to start them young, working with teachers to improve financial skills among secondary school-children. "Money management is the key to helping today's students survive the financial worries of university life", they say. And not bad for bankers either.
