Next week sees the culmination of the lengthy but thrilling - and costly - consultation to decide on a new name for the merged University of Manchester and the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.
Casting aside the suggestion that the "Victoria Beckham Manchester United University" might bring in some useful sponsorship money while boosting the institution's popularity with school-leavers, the suits are reported to instead be settling on, erm, the University of Manchester.
