Misgivings on assessment

September 29, 1995

I also share some of the misgivings of Michael Gruneberg (THES, September 15) and Mark Griffiths (THES, September 22) over research assessment. Furthermore, how will research panels evaluate inter-disciplinary research lying outside their particular collections of expertise?
