Microwave detector for weapons

Computing engineers at King's College, London, are hoping to develop a microwave to detect people carrying weapons in public places, including schools and nightclubs. The device would be sensitive enough to distinguish between, for example, a gun and a bunch of keys. Portable versions might also be feasible, providing police officers with more safety on the beat.
