Media graduates fail to make headlines

Only 15 per cent of media graduates gain jobs in the media, although 70 per cent of them find some kind of employment in the UK, with around 2 per cent working abroad and 11 per cent believed to be unemployed. Data on first destinations compiled by the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services show that more than a fifth of graduates holding degrees in media studies take clerical or secretarial jobs.
