Malaysian university vice-chancellors were given two days to identify students who took part in street protests in support of jailed former deputy premier Anwar Ibrahim. University disciplinary boards have been directed to "dismiss students involved in the violence, while passive protesters should be suspended", said education minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
