Dear Mr. Diehl,

It is my pleasure, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, to address you as Chairman of the COST Senior Officials Committee with the request to enable participation of the institutions from the Republic of Macedonia in the COST Programme and to admit membership of the Republic of Macedonia in COST.

In the past, the Republic of Macedonia participated in various COST Projects (proposals and participation in COST A3, COST B2, COST 219, 223, 253, 322 and recently in PHARE-PRAQ3.

Due to the firm view and position of my Government to co-operate in European Programmes in Science and Technology, I would be grateful if this request could be submitted to the COST Senior Officials Committee at one of its forthcoming meetings.
