The Learning and Skills Council has made no real impact in its first year, and it must use its £7.3 billion budget to better effect in its second, the Institute of Directors said this week.
A survey of IoD members found that the LSC had contacted only 13 per cent of them in its first year despite its obligation to develop strong links with employers. Confidence in the organisation's future performance was very low.
