Academics' opinions of students are now so low that they can't even use them as guinea pigs on research projects it appears.

One researcher received the following rejection after submitting a paper to the Information Systems Journal : "The managing editor has now examined your paper and unfortunately the paper is unsuitable for consideration for the journal and we must therefore reject it.

"The paper is not ready for ISJ and we do not approve of the use of students as surrogates for real people unless their use is fully justified."
