Lords question medical school places increase

Lords have questioned whether the government can meet its commitment to increased medical school numbers in the light of redundancies at Imperial and Queen Mary and Westfield colleges.

In a debate in the House of Lords on October 18, Lord Hunt replied that many of the redundancies were a result of mergers and would not affect teaching.
