A student has scooped first prize in the British Glove Association's design competition. Eva Pospisilova, a student on the London Metropolitan University-accredited foundation degree in fashion and textiles at City and Islington College, was asked to create a glove for a pop star, past or present. Her creation was inspired by Madonna and included a silver-diamond motif and printed- fabric sleeve. Ms Pospisilova will receive £300 and three days' work experience in the Victoria and Albert Museum's textile conservation department.
