Local authorities' telematic network to hold ICT conference in Poland

The European Local Authorities Telematic Network (ELANET) will hold an information society conference in Krakow, Poland, from 2 to 4 June.

The aim of this regular event is to promote an extended use of information and communication technologies (ICT) within Europe and to modernise public administrations and their service delivery.

The title of the 2005 conference is 'i2010: New horizons, new tasks for local and regional governments'. The programme combines plenary sessions on current issues, and parallel sessions on excellence in key digital areas for local development involving research, technology and innovation.
