Overheard in the House of Commons on Tuesday, higher education minister Eric Forth telling followers the truth about student finance. "The trouble is," he said in the hearing of our sharp-eared reporter, "the banks are not really interested in doing it."
Or perhaps he was just discussing the prospect of rescheduling the Central Office overdraft.
