Limited IPR Helpdesk back online

April 29, 2002

Brussels, 26 April 2002

The IPR Helpdesk, which provides intellectual property rights (IPR) advice to current and potential contractors in EU supported research projects, is now back in operation with a temporarily limited service.

The helpdesk was launched in 1998 as a European Commission pilot project. The original contract for the project came to an end in August 2001, but is now providing services once more under a new contractor. The service is being upgraded and improved with, amongst other things, the creation of a new web site.

In the meantime, the helpdesk is running a limited service offering:
- a link to the previous IPR Helpdesk web site;
- a database on intellectual property, including an advanced search system;
- the 'latest news' section;
- IPR Helpdesk contact details.

For further information, please consult the following web address: http://www.ipr-helpdesk.org

The service can also be accessed via CORDIS at: http://www.cordis.lu/ipr-helpdesk
