I suspect that one item in your report about vice-chancellors' salaries will be of interest to low-paid university workers. George Bain, now vice-chancellor at Queen's University Belfast, is being paid Pounds 137,000 a year. Mr Bain's last job was as chair of the Low Pay Commission that set the minimum wage at Pounds 3.60 an hour. Nice work if you can get it....
