The faculty of arts and society at Leeds Metropolitan University has a new home. Broadcasting Place was officially opened this week after about 300 staff moved in over the summer. The two buildings that make up the complex are on a historic site next to Old Broadcasting House, the former home of BBC Leeds. It contains teaching and office space, as well as studios and workshops. The university said the development represents the largest investment in arts and humanities education in Leeds for a century.
