Scottish teaching review 'mishandled'
The Scottish Higher Education Funding Council “profoundly mishandled” its review of teaching funding, the Scottish Parliament’s enterprise and lifelong learning committee said today. The committee is now calling for an independent body to investigate teaching costs in Scottish higher education.

Gloucester College acquires university status
Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education officially became the University of Gloucestershire today. University status was conferred after rigorous scrutiny by the Quality Assurance Agency and the Privy Council.
