Petition to reinstate Harvard officers' corps
Nine hundred Harvard alumni have signed a petition seeking the return to campus of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps 32 years after it was abolished during agitation against the Vietnam war. Supporters of the move in the wake of the attacks on America include former defence secretary Caspar Weinberger.
