19-year-old awarded doctorate in physics
Nineteen-year-old John Carter, who entered college at the age of ten, has been awarded a doctorate in physics from the University of Arkansas.

Protesters chain themselves to embassy in US
Supporters of the Ethiopian Democratic Action League are to chain themselves to the gates of their country’s embassy in Washington DC today, in protest at the deaths and arrests of students, members of the opposition parties and human rights activists.
