Labour party activists attack tuition fees at Scottish conference

Labour party activists attacked tuition fees at last weekend's annual Scottish conference, but delegates narrowly defeated a resolution condemning the fees as a "retrograde step".

Emma Peattie, a Glasgow University student, denounced the move as an "education poll tax".
