Security agents disrupted a rally by students from the Universite Nationale of the Democratic Republic of Congo outside the home of Olinga Koy, a former university teacher and a leading opposition figure. As Professor Koy addressed the students, police charged the crowd and dispersed them.


Three people died and 62 were injured when fire broke out in a dormitory at the Catholic Seton Hall University in New York. The dormitory houses more than 600 students.
