King's College buys Public Record Office

King's College London is buying the former Public Record Office in Chancery Lane in a multimillion pound deal. It has been granted planning permission to convert the Grade II-listed 19th-century Gothic-style building. It will house 1.5 million volumes on 40 kilometres of shelving.
