International Workshop on the production and technology of new materials

The International Scientific and Technological Centre (ISTC) and the National Institute for Industrial Engineering and Technology of Portugal (INETI) will host the International Workshop 'New production technologies and materials' in Lisbon, Portugal, on 2 and 3 December 2002.

The workshop includes presentations by leading Russian and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) institutes and scientists about novel technologies to process new industrial materials.

The ISTC is an intergovernmental organisation dedicated to the non-proliferation of weapons and technology of mass destruction. The centre coordinates the efforts of numerous governments, international organisations, and private sector industries to provide weapons scientists from CIS countries with opportunities to redirect their talents to peaceful science.

INETI is an organisation playing a focal role in business innovation through technological research and development. The workshop is open for participants from industry, research organisations and relevant press.
