International conference on safety and security engineering

The first international conference on safety and security engineering (SAFE 2005) will be held from 13 to 15 June in Rome, Italy.

The purpose of this event is to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of the most recent developments in the theoretical and practical aspects of safety and security engineering. Covering all aspects of this interdisciplinary area of research, the conference will cover:
- crisis management;
- security engineering;
- natural disasters and emergencies;
- terrorism;
- IT security;
- man-made hazards;
- control, protection and mitigation issues.

The conference is aimed at engineers, scientists, field researchers, managers and other specialists involved in one or more aspects of safety and security.
