Institutions play their part in country's sport

Universities and colleges have become key providers of sports and cultural facilities to the wider community, according to a report published last week by the Higher Education Funding Council for England. Between April 1995 and August 1998, universities and colleges received more than Pounds 100 million from the National Lottery for sports and arts facilities.
