(Photograph) - Insecticide: Christopher O'Toole, entomologist at the University Museum in Oxford, has just published a book, Alien Empire, exploring the lives of insects and how they affect humans. Dr O'Toole, who specialises in the wild bees of the Middle East, advised the BBC for its series, also Alien Empire, which finished yesterday. He is pictured here with South American bees.
