Brussels, 08 May 2003
A European conference and workshop on innovative mass storage technologies, IMST 2003, will take place during MINATEC week in Grenoble, France, from 23 to 24 September.
The event will provide an opportunity to review both industrial and university projects within the sector, and speakers from companies such as Sony, Samsung, Thompson and Motorola will lend a global perspective to the workshop.
The conference will also allow participants to discuss and cement research collaborations within the context of the newly launched Sixth Framework Programme.
The five main topics for IMST are:
- Optical storage;
- Magnetic recording;
- Probe recording;
- Solid state memories;
- New memories concept.
