Ink links to screen

May 26, 2000

A new application launched at this week's "Internet World" exhibition in London allows ink and audio from business presentations and education lectures to be broadcast over the internet.

Handwritten ink from any mimio-equipped whiteboard is synchronised with voice and streamed over the web to RealNetworks RealPlayer 7 users. Mimio, from Virtual Ink, works through sensors attached to marker pens so that each pen stroke is reproduced sequentially on screen and stored on PC.
