Hunt for missing student

February 25, 2005

Police have asked the academic community for help in tracing a mature student who has been missing since November.

Details relating to Amitabho Das are limited, but police know he is missing from the Hillfields area of Coventry. They said he was enrolled on a postgraduate course at Coventry University between February 2002 and September 2003. He had been working in a petrol station near Coventry and was last seen on November 19 last year when he visited his doctor.

Detectives said that Mr Das, 29, may now be attending university in east London but, so far, inquiries have drawn a blank.

There are serious concerns for his welfare. If you have any information, contact Detective Constable Darren Walden at Little Park Street Police Station, Coventry, on 0845 1135000.
