Holiday in cyberspace

Wendy Alexander, Scotland's enterprise and lifelong learning minister, has just enjoyed a week's holiday attending a reunion at Lester B. Pearson College in Canada, where she held a scholarship. But the electorate need not fear that the break meant the minister abandoned her duties. In the space of 24 hours, her staff back home received a barrage of phone calls and 64 emails.
