A music and dramatic arts school is launching a new doctor of music degree. The Guildhall School of Music and Drama's DMus in composition will make the resources of the school available to doctoral composition students for the first time. Organisers of the programme, which will be validated by City University London, expect to take an average of three students a year. It quota for 2008 is already full.
